MAME32 0.79u4! I *know* that you have questions about it. I *KNOW* you don't know where u2, and u3 versions are. I also know that you have a *LONG* romhunting ahead. Well, Haze has the source update for version u4 (u2 & 3 were private and *supposedly* are included). For those of you who don't know how to compile your own version the binary compile is available for download at the official MAME32 webpage. Haze's WiP Haze has finally updated his page with a LOOOOOOONG update full of juicy details, pools, hot chicks, music, FABULUS drinks etc... (Talk is cheap anyway so I guess we all got what we wanted isn't it?) Thanks pal... ;-) February 26, 2004 Yet another ClrMAME update! New ClrMAME version. The famous rom manager reached number 3.24. Here's what's new: "...ClrMamePro 3.24. Since I will be damn busy the next weeks (you know..real life), I quickly improved the deep analysis checks (added 3 more routines) a bit and added a little request. The checksum analysis does the following now: It's available for download at the official webpage. New Aaron's WiP Aaron fixed geometry problems in Radical Bikers. Something is mentioned there for an '0.79u2' update (will this be soon?)... Somebody to call for Haze please! ;-) February 22, 2004 ClrMAME *Critical* update! Roman has updated ClrMAME once more to version 3.23. This version adds a new 'deep analysis' mode: "...What's that...another release? Yes...little coding marathon to include a feature some devs requested and might become very very useful with the next MAME release (you'll see ;))... If I were you I 'd go right away here to download the latest version. Aaron's WiP Aaron seems busy (again) messing up a bit with MAME Core. He also updated MAME log (after a looong time) and did a bunch of other things which you can read here. Sega Model 3 emulator It seems that the 'supermodel' emulator is on a very promising path to perfection. Some colorful screenshots and technical information can be found here. George's Collection gets bigger! GEOANAS PAGE has had an update some days ago. Our friend George Anastasiades updated his (already long) list of arcades / computers / handhelds etc. Read here and drool ;-)
February 18, 2004 ClrMAME monthly update! The programmer of this great rom manager has released yet another version today. ClrMAME now reaches version 3.22c. This version adds nothing too important but some small fixes here and there. You can always download the latest versions from here. Official MAME WiP The webslave (aka: Gridle) of the official MAME site has updated the status page with the latest WiP stuff. Among others two screenshots of "Galaga and MsPacman - 20 year reunion" a driver submitted by Nicola Salmoria. Read all about it here. What would you do if... I have witnessed many times a virus, or other reason, make a Windows XP system locking, crashing, not booting up etc. In this case there is not much you can do you know. All your data remain in the harddisk but they're not accessible (Especially if the file system is NTFS). I know that there are some options for data salvation and backup, but I found this one pretty promising. Bart's PE Builder is a small executable that will let you build your own bootable WinXP CDrom/DVDrom and add some pretty useful utilities like Nero Burning Rom, Total Commander, Antivirus programs, anti-spy utilities and many many more. Click here to go to the website and download it. February 16, 2004 Haze's WiP Haze is once again adding another driver for the next MAME release. System32 is work in progress too, but I'm sure it will be finally be emulated perfectly.;-) Read all about it here. Aaron's WiP The other fellow MAMEdev is being up to a new driver for the Gaelco System. 3D graphics, cool characters to choose from and some screenshots here for your eyes only. FreeDO for all! If you remember 3DO (in the mid-90s) was one of the most promising consoles back when it came out to the public. Eventually, many have another opinion now, but who cares...;-) Anyway, here's an emulator for this great game console of the past. It's called FreeDO and now reached version 1.6.2 (beta). February 13, 2004 It's Snowin... err... Raine-ing (again) Actually it IS snowing here (everything is white and all the roads are closed). It's kinda strange if you consider that we are at the southern part of Europe. Anyway. The Raine emulator team gives us another release of this great emulator: "Only 1 new game : Fever S.O.S (which is actually a clone of Feveron), but lots of fixes and video emulation improvements..." February 9, 2004 New MAME WiP. Gridle has updated the official MAME WiP page with all the latest additions / fixes also as the respective screenshots. Should we wait for an updated version soon? Anyway, you may click here, for a quick warp. Well, what can you say? Just minutes after the previous update, I noticed that Haze has the new source update available at his page! Seconds later, I found out that MAME32 official site had been updated with the latest MAME binary (0.79u1). Click here, for the latest binary update or here for the latest source update. Oh, and don't forget to play Sonic - the protection has finally been emulated. February 3, 2004 Here comes the Raine again. It seems that Raine emulator team is pretty busy nowadays; as a result three updates in a row bring this fine emulator closer to perfection: "...- Fixed the bug in level 3 of magical cat adventure, thanks to Paul Priest Well, I can recall a lot of reasons why needing something like this. DOSBox is a PC emulator with built in DOS for running DOS Games primarily. For more information, visit the official site's info page. It's really cool to be able to fire up good old stuff... Click here, for the latest (0.61) update. February 1, 2004 New MAME flavors found! After the official 0.79 release, MAME32 has been updated to the same version. Click here to download the source and / or binary and screenshots, icons etc etc... MAME32 Plus 0.79 MAME32 Plus has been updated to the same version too. Click here to download the latest binary. FastMAME 0.79 Another MAME implementation from geoshock. Fastmame is now on version 0.79 too. It's available here. MAMEAthlon 0.79 Yes, there's an AMD Athlon (and K6) version too. Yet Another MAME implementation this time compiled especially for our fellow Athlon Cpu owners (do you hear Maddog?). Click here, and when done fire up the seattle hardware driver ;-)
