MAME 0.81u8... NO!! 0.81u9 source update! More "Neratte Chu" as fast as you can count to 9: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: 0.81u8 (private release due to some code cleanups being needed) April 23, 2004 MAME 0.81u7 source update! New in this version: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: April 18, 2004 MAME 0.81u6 source update! Haze gives us another fast update. The version is 0.81.u6: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: ClrMAME Pro has got another update. This one has a lot of different things though. The new Zip engine is a bit faster so that you won't have to wait all this time for a full rom scan. Get it at the official webpage. Whacker April 14, 2004 Announcing MAME.GR! Our brother site's mame.gr forums are up and running. This site is in Greek so for the half of you out there will be 'all Greek to you' but worry not! Greek is a very easy language! You can start today...(or somethin'...) ;) MAME 0.81u5 source update! Haze is back with another 'tiny' source update. Here's what's new in this one: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: NOKIA has announced today a new form of it's multi-purpose telephone / gamepad / radio / mp3 / etc. machine N-Gage. The new gear will be called N-Gage QD and it will be a 'cut-down' version (cheaper too) than it's elder brother. There's a series of changes too which brings it's absolute numbers to a smaller size, there's also a hotswap input for fast SD card exchange (at last!). Talk is cheap, so take a pick at the official webpage. Whacker April 13, 2004 MAME WiPs and WiPs it hard! A *HUGE* MAME WiP is online together with the latest screenshots. We will post some of the headlines here: 2004-04-11: ElSemi sent in some lighting fixes to the Sega Model 1 driver. Ville Linde improved the tilemap emulation further in the Seibu SPI driver, added support for alternate video hardware in Viper Phase 1 and added the mahjong controller to E-Jan High School but it doesn't work yet. R. Belmont sent in some cleanups to the Konami System GX driver. David Haywood added sprite drawing to the Raiden 2 driver, but it's still not playable. 2004-04-10: Stefan Jokisch added an alternate version of Leprechaun and Pirate Treasure (Leprechaun with different graphics) to the Leprechaun driver. Aaron Giles added some HLE to the sample upload commands in the DCS2 system, speeding up the Seattle games somewhat. 2004-04-09: Aaron Giles removed a logerror from the vblank callback in cpuexec.c and fixed the slow booting in the Seattle driver. Ville Linde sent in another update to the Seibu SPI driver with much better graphics emulation, though still with encrypted graphics. smf fixed Raystorm which now works completely. Aaron has updated his webpage with the latest 'achievements'. A great improvement on the Seattle games I must say. Pictures are talking by themselves... April 10, 2004 Happy Orthodox Easter! New ClrMAME Pro A minor update this one, but it's something you can't afford to miss once our rom manager of choice has had about a month to get updated! You can download it from the official webpage. For those of you not yet able to get a binary of the latest Haze updates, Mame32 0.81u4 is ready for you at the Mame32QA page. Click here to download it. A lot of new stuff in those 4 source updates and I am afraid that if your want a full 0.82 version sometime soon this decade you better start seeking for the needed files right now. I will post it as it was published on the ICQ logs, as nothing beats the original: [...] Yes, Haze has done it again. FYI, the latest bunch (u1,u2,u3 that is) was over than 700mb of downloads; of which I am not full just yet. So, If you're a compiler-person yourself, you can get the latest source update from his page. P.S.: I haven't yet checked what's in this one, but I tell you... I ph33r. ;-) (late night) UPDATE: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: April 6, 2004 MAME Source update(s) Haze is being up to it for the last couple of days... 0.81u1, 0.81u2, and (yes) 0.81u3 source updates are available for download at his page. Get your compilers ready and happy compiling! MAME WiP! The official MAME WiP page has been updated a few days ago with A LOT of pictures. I say no more! head up here to see for yourselves. DOS Box CVS version DOS Box is a way to emulate an old PC with integrated DOS within the brand new supa-dupa PC of yours. If you ask why you want to do so into the windows XP I can say one good reason: Abandon-ware! Besides, (you selfish you!) there are also, our friends of the Linux community! (Yes it runs under Linux too). So, the CVS (aka: coming up next) version is able to boot up win3.0 (I BET that very few of you can recall that version). Anyway. A brand new official MAME version is out adding the following: 0.81 Whacker April 1, 2004 It's NOT a joke! It's not April's Fool day! A brand new emulator is out able to play the following: 1. PSX-2 Games 2. PSX-1 Games 3. N-64 Games 4. Dreamcast Games 5. ZX Spectrum 6. Commodore 64 7. Sega Master System 8. Some other exotic stuff (makes coffee etc) Additionally, this emulator emulates a P4@2800GHz PC on a P-III@1000MHz CPU equipped gear. Available for download here. Whacker
