MAME 0.82u3 source update. Haze claims that this update had serious reasons to be released. I personally believe him! ;) From the what's new file: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: Whacker May 25, 2004 MAME 0.82u2 source update. I got the news just before I logged off last night and it was far too late to make an update. Anyway, I plea for you forgiveness... ;-) BTW: As Haze never mentions it when the update is big (ie: more than 100k) it's always good to make a fresh build. I personally did so, just in case. Here's what's newly added in the latest pack: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: Whacker May 22, 2004 WinUAE 0.8.26 There's a new WinUAE on the leash for the last couple of days. One of the new additions in this, is that a new GUI is implemented (I personally like it more than the previous...). Read what's new: Bugs fixed: P.S.: As you probably have noticed there were no updates in this column for the last 8 days or so. I am truly sorry about that, but until the mid-June I have too many things to do and several tasks to complete. Thanks for your patience... Whacker May 14, 2004 MAME 0.82u1 source update. Haze gave us a couple of hours ago the latest source changes. Here's what's new: New Games supported or promoted from GAME_NOT_WORKING status: Whacker May 10, 2004 Gamecube Emulator? Hmm 'Far from it' is the word right now, but surely it's a promising start: gcube v0.1 This is the first release of gcube - Nintendo Gamecube emulator. This release is aimed at running homebrewn programs - there is no gcm support so no commercial games are running. For more info check included readme. You can download it from here (you must register first). (Another) PS2 Emulator? Well not exactly what you would call a complete emulator right now either, but these guys seem to be pretty serious about their effort: Roor, shunt, and Scar_T have decided to show off their latest progress with the first initial alpha release of their PS2 emulator, PS2emu. Keep in mind this is still in the early stages of development and still a work in progress. Keep in mind this is not for playing commercial games and is only to show everyone the latest progress. DYNAMIC RECOMPILERS are less than 10% complete, but the performance is faster than usual because the implementation of a new recompiling technique developed specifically for this project that will allow us superior performance to a normal dynamic recompiler. Whacker May 7, 2004 MAME 0.82 "Happy Birthday Haze" ! A new MAME / MAME32 has been released yesterday. I kinda missed this one, (Haze's Birthday too) once I was pretty damn busy at work. Work suxx and that's official. Anyway. You can treat yourselves the new source and binaries from the official webpage and /or the MAME32 flavor from here. Whacker May 3, 2004 E-MAME 0.98! This version of MAME is for the N-Gage and some of the compatible S-60 based platform smartphones. The official website seems dead for the last couple of days, so I give you another way to get the latest binary (read: .sis file). Here you go. Some instructions on how to install it to your phone now: First use the USB cable to copy it to the memory card. Then you must use the internal installer app to install it to the smartphone. When asked choose the 'external' memory card as the place to be installed. If you use an utility like filemanager etc, or you choose the internal memory phone to install it, most possible you'll end up with a 'low memory' error (the installer file is about 1.3Mb). I personally have tested this version and works like a charm to my N-Gage (faster than the 0.95 I used to play with up till now, too). Best of luck then, and if you want to know what's new in this version you better check the official website from time to time just in case it's up again sometime soon. New ClrMAME Pro ClrMame Pro has been updated to version 3.31. Fixes and / or additions in this releases are: Whacker
